The traffic enforcement division of the Sheriff's Office is directed to promote public safety by providing professional, fair enforcement of Georgia's traffic laws. Special efforts are taken in the areas of speed detection, occupant safety and impaired drivers.
Along with the three county (Turner, Crisp, Tift) special traffic enforcement unit, the traffic division conducts concentrated speed detection patrols, and checkpoints to enforce seat belt and child restraint laws and the apprehension of impaired drivers. Sheriff Kendrick and Chief Deputy Hester stress the importance of traffic enforcement to help reduce the numbers of crashes and crash related injuries and fatalities.
All areas of activity are monitored to ensure the traffic division is making a contribution in making Turner County a safer place through education, community relations and enforcement actions.
